we're getting married at the venue, so do we even need to bother having a RD? I'm soo close to saying screw it i dont want one.

you dont really need it, its just nice to have an intimate dinner with your bp and closest family and exchange gifts and thank them all for being a part of it ya know? but you def dont NEED one

most people who have ceremony at venue dont end up having a RD, at least not most ppl I know.

We're def having our ceremony at the RH but we'll probably have an RD anyway since we'll be having a bunch of OOT guests (basically FH's whole family)
Maybe we won't call it an RD but I'd feel bad if I asked these people to come all the way to NY for my wedding and didn't at least give them something extra.
see, I was told you should still have one even if you dont have a rehearsal because that is when you give the gifts...

if you are getting married at the venue, and dont want to do a RD you can give the gifts at another time. My friend got married at RH and she gave us our bm gifts at the shower. I mean its up to whatever the person wants to do. But like the OP for example who doesnt want a RD if she wanted to she could get her girls together and give them their gifts another time
