Do we have to pay for ourself and FH as guests at wedding?!?
I came across this question and am curious myself and have read varying answers. Plan on asking my venue directly, but what's the deal with this? Anyone know if you and FH are considered guests that you have to pay the per person price for? If so, that's another 2 people to remember to add onto the guest list!

every RH is different, my contract reads bride & groom are free after min. is met.

We paid for our plates but I and never thought about that. I like how your RH puts that in the contract and I think all RH's should have the bride and groom free after min is met.

THIS! I thought about this back when we signed our venue contract but never outright asked the question. I think it would just be good business practice.

The only place that ever offered this to me was The Watermill -- When my hall was asked they kind of laughed.. nice right?

I was just going to say the same thing! The watermill was the only place that outright told us that we would eat free. I never asked anywhere else though, because I never really thought of it. I think at most places you do have to pay for yourselves lol which is kinda a kick in the head after how much you spend at a hall but oh well

Omg I never thought about this either. I was including us in the head count but it really should be good business practice to let the bride and groom eat for free seeing that they picked that venue and they are spending thousands of dollars at the venue. I guess it just goes along with everything else 'Nothing in life is free'.

I know that you pay for yourselves at Fox Hollow.. a friend of mine is getting married there and they reminded her to include the bride and groom in the final count.

Found out we totally have to pay for ourselves at our venue! Of course. It's funny a lot of us hadn't thought of the fact that we are guests at our own wedding!
