ouch. i don't know the whole story but i wouldnt invite her. then she'll know how it feels.

then again - how is the relationship with FH and his father? is not inviting her going to cause issues between them?

I say just be the bigger person, do the right thing, and invite her. Even if you know she's not coming. This way she can't come back and say you never invited her.

I have a few people in my family that I'm inviting just for 'formality's sake.' I know they won't come, and I'd be surprised if they even respond. But at least they can't say I didn't invite them.

I would invite her - even if she doesn't come, or doesn't respond, you know that you did the right thing by inviting her.

I'm banking on the chance that she wouldn't come.

While she sounds like a real turd, I would extend the invite because if you don't, it'll probably end up causing even more drama in the longrun.

You'll be the bigger person, and she can fester in her nastiness at home while you are all celebrating.

I dont really know your personal business....but I would probably invite her. I always like to show that I am the better person. If she doesnt come or rsvp then thats on her. But at least you are not stooping to her level. JMO

sorry i agree.

besides. FH's father is an adult. he should be invited WITH HIS DATE. do at least HIM the father because he'd probably be the person getting screamed at behind closed doors if you dont invite her.

just scr*w it. send the invite. never look back.

This is a really hard and sticky situation to answer without knowing and seeing exactly what goes on. You and FH know better than we do as to how she acts and the way the situation is. Personally, i would invite her just because I don't want to ever regret NOT inviting her. What if things down the road work out, like they did with your FSIL. You don't want to regret NOT extending the invitation. Then again, you know the situation and if she causes that much of a rift between you guys and breaks apart the holidays, then maybe you shouldn't.

I think you and FH really need to think about it and look at both aspects of inviting and not inviting her. I hope this helps and good luck - I am sure whichever route you chose is the best for you!!!

I'm in a similar situation with one of FH's nieces and I'm sending her an invite anyways. It's not really about being the bigger person, it's about being mature. She's walking out on parties and skipping events, and it sounds a bit petty if for no good reason. If you invite her, you automatically rise above her level.

I would just invite her. Hopefully someday things WILL be resolved and you don't want to add fuel to the fire and hear forever how she wasn't invuited to the wedding. If she's not going to come anyway, you have nothing to lose. If she does come, it's a step in the right direction. There's really no downside
