I'm trying to figure out whether people actually keep STD's or not? If not, then I'd rather do a calendar style STD, but if they keep them, I'd rather do a much nicer STD.
What are your thoughts??? I need to do them this week!!!

I do. I have a bunch of the magnet ones on the side of my fridge. Everyones house i go to I see mine.

Sounds good. My sister just told me the same thing...she said magnets themselves are already useful...

Either way I would keep it at least until the wedding. A nice magnet I would probably keep afterward too. Did you mean just until the wedding or keep in general?

Just in general.... I guess if it were a calendar 2011 Calendar STD people would be more likely to discard it once the year is up... I thought it was cute since the year just started people would have a calendar up as well on their fridge...I'm planning on sending them out the first week of Jan.

Plain magnet stays on our fridge. Papers save the date goes right in the trash. Ok maybe I stick it to the fridge for a month and then trash it. There are some super cute save the dates that I have kept on my fridge past the wedding.

we would keep both magnet or paper save the dates. we have a cork board next to the fridge. but once the wedding is over we throw them out

I have actually only recieved 1 STD so I have it on the side of the fridge, once I get the invite I will probably toss it

I've never gotten one before, but we see them on fridge's of people we've given them to all the time.

I still have all my friends from 2010 STD's up on my frigde and when I move Ill still put them on my new fridge. HTH

I do! They come in handy as well. I have been taking the little bbb cards that have come with engagement gifts and placing them on my fridge with the magnets!

If they are magnets with pictures yes
Magnets without pictures get trashed after the wedding
Paper ones with pictures go into my wedding scrapbook [I keep all STDs and wedding thank you photos in a scrapbook started by my grandmother in the 1950s]
Paper ones without photos in the trash

i throw em out after the wedding. honestly who needs more clutter?
I dont keep a scrap book.
my STD's were postcards, i fully expect people to throw em out.
