Here is a story...My sister told me that the other night Chelsea, the dog, was whining and walking around the room non-stop at around 3:30 am. Chelsea kept looking at the air conditioner and kept whining. Chelsea sleeps with my sister every night. She is accustomed to the A/C noise and the A/C wasn't on that night. It wasn't as if she was hot b/c when she is, she gets off the bed or carpet and lays on the wood floors or under the bed. When my sister asked her if she wanted to go outside, Chelsea got excited. When my sister opened her door, Chelsea ran to the top of the stairs and just sat there whining. It really is the weirdest thing. My sister brought her to my parents room and she calmed down. But my sister said that for 30 minutes Chelsea was acting up. She doesn't normally do this. So my sis thinks she felt a ghost in her room. Which is possible because we have felt our first dog and my grandfather's ghost in the house before. Our dogs have felt it too. It is kind of spooky in a good way...

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
I DO! JT just did a documentary a few months ago about our friends' house that is haunted. It's in Stony Brook, and it is right across from the duck pond. It used to be the town bakery back in the 17 and 1800s. When they moved in, all these weird things started to happen. Well, first of all, it's two of my female friends and one of their boyfriends who lives there(that's important in a minute). So they moved in, and they have three floors in the house. The first floor with the kitchen and living room, the second floor with the bedrooms and library, and third floor with a music studio and an art studio. So one night at about 2am, one of my friends was home alone sitting on her bed reading. Because of the old doors in the house, she had to buy a hook and eye latch to keep her's shut. So she looked up from her book, and the hook lifted itself out of the eye and just started swinging. She got really freaked out, and when she went to go put it back, all the books on the shelf fell off. So she ran outta the house and left! THEN, another night, the other girl was home alone, and she heard the doorbell ringing(sidenote, the doorbell is original to the house, it's metal and you have to crank it very hard to make a noise). So she went down and answered the door, but there was no one there and the bell was still turning! I'll just share one more thing that happened because I could go on even more. Another night, my friend and her boyfriend were in their bedroom when they heard music coming from the studios upstairs, so they both went up, and there was a CD playing in the stereo but the stereo wasn't plugged in! OMG, I totally believe their house is haunted!

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
It is freaky but I have gotten used to it. The stories my grandfather would tell me when I was younger were sooo scary back then. I still get weirded out when I think or talk about them.

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
Oh, PS to the story, they wanted to hire a psychic to come to the house, but they were skeptical about it, so they didn't tell him who lived there or anything, so when he got there, there were a bunch of people there and no one would tell him who was who. And all he said was that it was a mother and a daughter who had died there and they were very unhappy about the unwed couple living there, but that they did not want to cause any harm. Needless to say, my friends boyfriend got mysteriously locked in his studio even though the door had no lock!

When I have more time, I'll tell you the rest of the story. It's SOOO freaky. I hate going over there. JT's documentary about it is amazing. And they say that if you see flashes of white light that are unexplained on your footage that it's a spirit, and low and behold, before editing anything, there were tons of flashes on his film in the middle of the day too!

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
eeeeee thats so creepy! I believe in ghosts. I love hearing ghost stories too... i haven't had any experiences first hand but I lived on a block that we think was haunted. Our house and two other houses of people we knew on the block had strange things happen. (it was in Elmhurst)

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
I don''t know if I believe in ghosts but more of 'friendly spirits'. I have a cousin who has a degeree of down syndrome and one day she was upstairs playing alone. She came back downstairs and described how she was playing with a man. Her mom asked her to describe the man and she described her grandfather to a 'T'. She was 4 yrs. old and had never met her deceased grandfather. I believe he was playing with her.
I have many, many similar stories.
I also believe in guardian Angels. I KNOW my Dad has one. He would not be with us if he didn't.

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
I sort of believe that guardian angels are actually 'ghosts' of loved ones watching over us. Sometimes i wish my grandma would come and visit me, but i think it would scare me!

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
I believe in ghosts and have experienced it first hand.
One summer, I was in greece with my cousin and we went to stay with her grandparents in a small village. The house was old and we both slept in the same room. From the first night we were there, the strangest things would happen.
First night:
We just arrived and didnt' even unpack. My cousin went to take a shower and I stayed in the kitchen with her grandparents drinking coffee and talking. She then began to unpack and took out her jewelery box and was looking for her ring (that I had gotten her years back) and could not find it anywhere. I asked if she were sure that she brought it with her and she was positive that she had. I then went to take a shower and then unpacked my bag. I pulled out the box where I kept my jewelery...and when I opened it, her ring was in there. We have no idea how this happened. Her grandparents house was the first stop we made from the airport. Neither of us opened up our suitcases prior to arriving at the house.
Second Night:
I have a weird dream (or I thought it was a dream) about an old lady dressed in black whispering that she had to tell me something important. I woke up in a sweat and my cousin said I was talking in my sleep all night in greek. She tried to wake me up but I wouldn't.
Third night:
I see the old lady again but this time I know I'm not sleeping. I close my eyes and scream for her to go away and that I'm scared. She does.
Fourth day:
My cousin & I had bought post cards to send to family and friends. We write them out and then walk into town and mail them. We have coffee and go shopping and then return back home. When we arrive, we go into the room and the post cards we mailed are on the dresser. (I kid you not). At this point, we got really scared and I said...I think there is a ghost in this house. Once I said this, the lights started to flicker on and off and would not stop. We ran out of the house screaming. Her grandparents thought we were nuts.
Fifth night:
I see the old lady again. I ask her what she wants and how I can help her. She smiles and fades away. I never see her again.
It was a very weird experience.

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
I don't REALLY believe in them, but I love ghost stories. I have a ton from my family, and a bunch from the night my grandmother passed away. I wish I believe it were all true, because they are so neat. Wouldn't it be cool if my grandma really was still with me?

I do, because I have seen things myself. I have also predicted things too. Sometimes my dreams are deja vu to real things that happen in my life.
