Bleeding, sweating or tearing statues, sandwiches that look like the mother mary, the virgin appearing in the clouds, arms outstretched at the gates of heaven... Do you believe in this? Is it just a bunch of crazy people desperately tryint to cling to something? Are the weeping icons fakes? Or are they real acts of a higher power. What do you think?

As far as the virgin mary in sandwiches, clouds, tortillias - No, I don't believe it's the act of a higher power. People see what they want to see.
The statues that bleed, tear - I don't believe in that either, but I wouldn't know how to explain it.

I don't believe many of the more modern ones are legitimate. I do believe that people are looking though for something to grasp, believe in, etc. And like I said, I don't think that makes them crazy. I have faith in the classic ones though. Lourdes, Fatima, etc.

I don't. I would think that if God were going to produce a miracle today it would be something more important then weeping icons and apparitions.

I don't feel that Penn and teller covered the subject completely enough, but they had one segment where they showed people pics of this door that one woman claims has the face of Jesusu and NO one saw it, then they showed an enlarged photo of a piece of headcheese and all of these people saw jesus in it. LOL
