Do you believe in LOVE at first sight?

I believe in LUST at first sight, but wouldn't go as far as to say LOVE. I think you need to know someone to LOVE them. JMO

I believe in a 'connection' at first sight...wouldn't necessarily call it love...but, DH and I BOTH felt a kinetic type of something the first time we shook hands....sort of a thunderbolt kinda thing...and we KNEW there was just something about this person....well, 5 years later, we are happily married with a 1.5 yr old!

When I first met Mike I had butterflies in my stomach and my knees got a little week, but I still think that was lust. I didn't fall inlove with him until I learned more about him as a person..

I don't know about LOVE but it was definitely more than lust when I met Rob. It was enough to get me to stop dating guys in NY and continue a long distance relationship after meeting him for just two days at a convention.
You can feel a real connection with sombody after just meeting them

I think love is a strong word, and it takes time to feel that way, maybe not alot of time, but SOME time

I definetly think you can feel a connection with someone - I believe in chemical attractions - but I don't think conection = love.

I'm with Jenn...I think it takes some time to love someone - if you love someone on site, aren't you just loving what they look like and not who or what they are as well?

I think I do. I felt it. It was the hardest thing in my life too.

Almost wish it had never happened. But I know it made me stronger and makes me who I am.

I can die knowing that I felt true, complete, life crushing, total, blinding, terrifying love for someone. Didn't get to spend my life with him, but that's ok.

It was the best moments in my life and the worst. The moments I dream for and the moments I use as cautionary proof of pain unending.

Well, before I met JT I thought love at first sight was ridiculous, but when I met him, I KNEW I would marry him. I knew it. I met him the day before Christmas and I remember telling my aunt that next day I had found 'the one'. And I was right. Don't know how or why, but it was for real.

all i know is that when I met my DH I just knew we would get married some day. I dont know if it was true love from day one but it was very fast and very intense!

This is what I think, too.

ETS: I think sometimes there can be a 'knowing' at first sight. Something inside just tells you that this person is going to play a very special role in your life. It's almost like a recognition.
