it's better to move into a new home (either rent, buy ...) after you get married? Or do you think it's ok to move into fh or fh moves into your place?
Would you feel that there is an element of starting anew by moving into a new place together?

we moved into a new home when we moved to NC and that was really starting anew! However, I think that even if you moved into a place that one of you already lives in, it will still feel like starting a new life because you have not lived together yet and you will be married!

FH and I live together now and I moved into his place. He owned his condo so it made sense for me to move into his place. Now I'm an offical homeowner with him!

Right now we are in the same predicament. FH and I want to buy a house before the wedding so that after we get married I could move all my stuff into a house rather than his small apartment but I don't know if that will work. We went looking at a house tonight but I got claustophoblic it was so small.

I think it depends on theperson. If you move into together you have the option of keeping both of your things...then when you move you can go thru it and decide on what to keep and what not too
Me and FH live together now, so we have just about everything for out HOME when we buy one. It really $ucks to packand move-trust this one who just did it!

hmmm... tough question... i moved into a fh's apt this summer and had to do *serious spring cleaning* fh had clothes from when he was in 1st grade! clothes alone, we must've donated 2 HUGE moving boxes!!! and then gradually putting things in their proper boxes as well as having to look at old photos of his ex which were stuffed in our photo box so i got somehow, that didn't seem very welcoming... guys sometimes

I movied into FH's house, it just made sense to live with him since he had his own home. But we do plan on moving into a home of our own out of state in the next few years.

i've heard of lots of people doing that. my friend from work lived withhis MIL for months. they were rennovating their condo. i think it's fine as long as it's not for a long time.

ideally we would like to move into a new house together but since it doenst look like thast in the cards for us right now we'll have to do with me moving into his apartment
