Do you bite your tongue

Do you bite your tongue

I just always felt it isn't healthy to bite your tongue in a relationship but at the same time, nobody wants someone who nags. So my FH thinks it's perfectly accetable to bite tongues on the reg. What do you ladies think? I think in a marriage maybe you have to otherwise too many fights

I have a 10/1rule. I take 10 minutes to think about it. If I think I will still be upset/angry/annoyed in 1 day.. then I say something. Otherwise I just let it go.

In other words... I choose my battles wisely. I feel like if I start to challenge every little thing, then I wind up looking contentious, angry and like a nag.

He follows a similar rule.. so it's ALL good! :)

I like that. I am gonna try it. I just always felt like I should know what bothers him otherwise I won't know to fix it but hearing it all the time got annoying so I can see how well this little rule could work. Thanks!

I think every individual is different. FH tends to bite his tongue, but then when he finally does say something it usually comes out HORRIBLE!! Almost like not only is he angry about whatever, he is also angry that now he has to say something about it because I'm not a mind reader.

I bite my tongue way more than FH does. But things roll off my back easier than they do his. He tends to say something right away get it off his chest and then it's over and done with... where I usually just let it roll off my back and forget about it. Unless of course it's something major.
