For us, my FMIL was looking for some way to participate, so we said that if she wanted to, she could host the dinner. Turns out we are planning, it but she will pay the bill.

My FMIL asked me about it about 8 months before the wedding(she likes to get everything done quickly). She told me that we could pick the place and all, but they wanted to pay for it.

I am booking it this month. This is my FI second wedding and my mom paid for our CH and his parents are guests so if I wait for someone to do it, I will never have a RD.
