Today i bought votives and velum on line and I didn't even talk to FH about it. Do you talk to FH about things like tht, or do you just do it (like me)?

Re: Do you consult you FH over little details?
i basically pick up the little stuff and show it to him, he trusts me with favors and all that other jazz, but i show him anyway just to make sure.
All i know is that when i was looking fom invitations, a guy came in, sat next to me and starting looking through books and talking to me about weddings, turned out he was getting married in the fall and was so excited ot plan the wedding, his FI was doing none of it. it was so wierd, he even said he wants the bridesmaids to match the flowers and etc. I just thought it was a little strange to hear him sound like me! LOLOL, i think i appreciate Fi letting me do most of the planning the way I want it to be

I ask his opinion on everything. That's his wedding also and we need to make sure we are on the same page. Now, I don't ask every minute. I gather all the information and show him options. He tells me what he likes.

Yeah, I pretty much tell him everything. More like me making the decision and telling him, rather than asking his opinion. Only on certain things did he really want to have input.

FH only cares about the big things that cost money (vendors and such). little things like petal cones, the sign in board, and placecards i dont consult him on. i just figure it'll be a nice surprise the day of!

I do it then show him after....I usually get so excited when I find stuff that I run in and show him - but I don't ask him. I am the detail oriented person, not him.

My FH is exactly the same way. He keeps telling me it's my show!

i fill him in - he likes to be involved in the planning -
but when we registered, he made me get everything a stainless steel finish - well i had to change the KitchenAid mixer to pink!! i know he'll never use it.....he'll find out when I bring it home.

Re: Do you consult you FH over little details?
I asked his opinion on the things he cared about (RH, menu, band, tuxes, whether to take pics at the arboretum, registering) and didn't bother with others because I knew he wouldn't really have an opinion. He appreciated that I could make decisions without him and didn't bother him about which favor to choose or which invitation looked better. I wanted him to be excited about the planning and not feel like it was a chore. IMO, if he doesn't care about the small stuff, make the decision on your own (or consult with someone you trust).

My little groomzilla likes to know and be involved in EVERYTHING.
It's very cute, but sometimes annoying when I need/want to make a quick decision.

I did the same thing too... then I wised up and stopped trying. Now, he gets what I want!

Re: Do you consult you FH over little details?
I ask him about EVERYTHING and he consistently tells me, 'That's nice, I like that.'
If I give him a choice between two things, he says, 'That's nice. That's nice too. I like them both.'
I find his insight to be truly enlightening. Thank goodness for his strong decision making skills - I don't know where the wedding plans would be without him!!!
