do you ever feel like????

do you ever feel like????

Lately I am second guessing everything that I did for my wedding...the hall, photographer, date etc.

Is this normal? My budget is over the top because it's a Saturday night and at the end of the day I see the bottom line in costs and I just wonder is I worth it???

I feel bad thinking like this, but I can't help it.

I don't really second guess anything....but, I do think sometimes we should do something a lot smaller and buy a house b/c our budget is also over the top.

But, I know I would regret it later in life if I wasn't doing it the way I am.

It's definitely normal to have these feelings, you've just got to trust your gut. I am sure you made good decisions on everything and all will be fine.

Once I make a decision I dont dwell on it. It took me a long time to choose which vendors i would be using. SO I dont second guess anything

thanks for your feedback ladies..i guess no one said wedding planning was a stress free process!

I think i just have to stick with my gut, remember the reasons why i made my decision and not let others influence it.

thanks

I have not second guessed any of the vendors.
However I do have that feeling that spending this amount of money for 5 hours is utterly insane.
I had this conversation with my mom the other day. She did not do the big wedding thing, got married at a friend's house, and she regrets not having a big wedding.
I have never heard anyone regret their wedding day if they spent all the money, but have heard the regrets if they did not (my mom, as an example.)
I am NOT saying if you are not having a big wedding you will regret it, I am just speaking from experiences I have heard.

I don't really stress over the decisions I've made as far as the vendors I've chosen. But I do stress over the $$, and we're not even really over the top. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it, we could be doing so much more.

But then I think about how nice it's going to be and that makes me feel better. I try to remind myself that in 15 years when I'm sitting at a PTA meeting and everyone's talking about their wedding day I'll have a nice story to tell. It's the fond memories of that one very special day that makes this planning and money all worth it.

I am not second guessing my decisions but I can understand how you feel because I am starting to really OVER ANALYZE every detail. I feel like I have to relax!!!

I definitely do, but I worry about everything.

remember that you're only going to do this once, so you'd better make it what you've always dreamed (within your budget) of course you could always put a down payment on a house instead, but your wedding is about celebrating your commitment to each other and what better way to do that than party your a** off! plus, since we are all so lucky to live on LI, we already pay more for everything else, why not our weddings!

It is VERY overwhelming. I go back and forth everytime I think about this whole wedding!

Re: do you ever feel like????

Every single day. We calculated exactly how much money we thought would be realistic to spend on a wedding given our respective salaries. We then broke that number into little pieces (IE: hall, photographer, DJ etc). Thus far we have not spent one dime more than was allocated for any particular vendor. But sometimes I look at it and ask myself 'am I crazy?'
