Do you ever get the feeling that you're being watched?

Original post by MonkeyLuv

Do any of you have the sneaking suspicion that you're being watched/followed on this site? Like someone is coming to LIW just to read your posts? Almost like a lurker, but it's someone who knows you (or of you) and he/she is just tracking you?

Don't think or would hope to think that I am not being watched...I just don't put too much personal info on here.

An online stalker totally wigs me! I'm not too worried because I never post anything of earth-shattering importance... except for the 7th Heaven recaps! (Sarah....oh I know you luuuuuuurve my SevHev style!)

Mostly, it's just stupid stories and nattering!

ETA and if someone is stalking me online, they must be pretty bored!

I've decided that I don't care. I know that for awhile, Dh's best friend's sister was a lurker on this site while she was planning her wedding. I found out that she was telling her brother all about my posts, but that was when I first starting posted and it was all wedding related. I doubt that she's still lurking now, and if she tells him, oh well!

I guess what also makes me wonder is the number of views a topic gets as opposed to the number of replies.

This one has almost 10 times as many views as responses!

That's the way I see it too - On top of just not knowing anyone on Long Island, I don't think I'm all that interesting to inpire an online stalker

Me too! It's similar to how I feel about identity theft... if someone really wants to steal my identity, maybe they can do something interesting with it!

Sometimes....but if someone wants to be that much of a loser thats their problem, not mine! I would be flattered!

i'm fairly new to this site, but i have to agree with this post. i know, for certain, that several of my friends (who are already married/others engaged), never posted here but read these boards religiously. In fact, the reason I joined this site was because my best friend (who was married in May) used to lurk all the time and introduced me to it!! it's a very interesting board and also very helpful.

i will not disclose peronsal info about myself b/c of my job and my SO's job. we are both public people.

I'm not entirely too paranoid, but I don't like eating food from the kitchen at work without knowing where and who it came from... You never know what someone is going to leave there...I'm guilty of leaving year-old candy for the secretary I hate...
