If yes, than what would YOU do to fix it if you were president. What are some things that you feel are majorly wrong right now that seriously need to be addressed??? Just curious!! (I thinka lot on the long lonely drive home!)

For starters make the meadia more responsible for the information they air. We have freedom of speech but its really being exploited by the media and making it hard for people to separate fact from fiction becasue they are all reported with the same degree of seriousness.

My view of the world today is an extremely negative one... The hated that exists is unbearable... Hatred, jealously and greed are all rampant in this world and IMO cannot be changed.

If I were president I'd run the country from a position of complete tolerance. None of this 'Defense of Marriage Act' BS, none of this self righteous 'morality' talk. I'd make government be about helping and taking care of PEOPLE, not big business. I'd do my best to improve the education system, give children healthcare and enforce strict regulations (with no loopholes and nown of bush's 'free market bs) on environmental protection. I definitely wouldn't use force against another nation unless there was clea and present danger and it was the last resort. I'd follow all of the accords of the geneva convention and I wouldn't count people who ignore human rights among my 'allies.' I'd make sure the US got back on the human rights commission, and I'd work to put the full US power behind the UN so that it could be a powerful peacekeeping force in the world. I would ABIDE BY the UN. I'd appoint justices who would honor the constitution as a document that protects our liberties.

Majorly...no...Very ...yes. I think we are still one of the best countrys in the world to live in, but I do see it getting worse every year and I dont see all that much hope for the world my children will live in. I think it comes down to laziness. People take the easy way out, People have children and dont take time to raise them properly, etc...
It's scary just walking around in certain areas, its scary when politics are beyond your understanding because of the way the government is, and its scary that most people just dont care about changing things. Can you imagine if we all were nice to each other and put other people first for a day? This country would stop dead...LOL...

This country always has been messed up in one way or another. Some things are being fixed, some aren't. Think about the days when slavery existed. Think about how in the past women really had no rights compared to a man and how abortion used to be illegal. There will always be something. Crooked politicians are nothing new. I think people have more rights now though than they ever did.

Of course there are problems esp. this election yr and the war in Iraq and world terrorism and all kinds of moral issues and cultural divisions, there always has been and there always will be.
But, I still think this country is the greatest in the world and I am still proud to be an American and would never want to live anywhere else.

Um ... how about jobs for Americans? How about being able to buy something at the store that actually has a MADE IN USA label on it instead of some country I've never heard of?

Gun Control needs to be adressed before we all shoot each other to death - the problem is entirely out of control and exclusive to this country. That scares me. (Amoung many other things....)
