Do you find this weird or nice

One Lady is Loaded $$$$$$$ she gave her nieces and nephews who range in age of 1-15) xmas gifts (cards) that say 'Ive made a donation in your name for bla bla bla to this charity'

what do u think

yeah its nice to donate to charity but...they are kids! i wouldnt do it! buy them a gift AND give to charity if you have the $$

i think if she is that loaded she could've STILL donated to charity and also give her nieces and nephews a little something

Ehhhh...that's definitely an odd gift for a child But I guess maybe she wanted to get them in the habit of donating while they're children?

Would her donation happen to be to 'The People Fund' by any chance?

I agree, it's a beautiful thought and a very good way to teach children about giving and being charitable but it's Christmas and if I got that as a child I would be a little miffed.

Hmmm. I dont think its 'inappropriate' per say, but its not ideal for a childrens gift....thats more appropriate for an adult. I mean she coulda done it anyway for the kids, but also give them a little something to play with at least, ya know.

ok this is weird but I find it nice & at the same time weird- i think its nice because giving to charity is always a good thing to do- but I think its weird since they are kids- it also might have been nice for her to just give the kids the money and tell the parents to put it away for them for college if she didnt want them to get a gift....

STUPID..not for kids..maybe adults..but..when youre a kid..you want toys and stuff to show off..im not into it..and what if it was a charity taht someone is against..as crazy as that sounds..i would be pissed if say someone donated money in my name to a church..so you never know with people

they say its the effort and thought that counts..but i think its a little silly for kids

eh it's a nice gesture, but more like she's trying to show everyone how 'good' she is by donating to charity. If she really wanted to be nice she should buy the kids gifts and then match what she spends and send that amount to charity!
