This lady in my office goes out of town all the friggin time [she's 'family' and her own boss]...so for the weekend, the 'family' is meeting in Boca for Easter. I overheard her complaining about flying and having to get on a plane for a 3 day trip. Meanwhile, just last week she went on a trip [as someone commented on her tan and she said she'd gone away...]for no more than 4 days.
So, do you fly away for getaway weekends or is this somehow taboo for you?
Just curious.

Re: do you fly for 3 day trips?
I am notorious for taking quick trips. I have family spread out everywhere so sometimes it is what needs to be done. I try to tag short trips onto the back of a business trip too. I wouldn't take a 3 day trip to Europe or to Hawaii but Vegas is only 2 hours away for me, so why not?

If it's necessary, like a three day weekend in Florida, sure, why not?

Re: do you fly for 3 day trips?
I normally only take 3-day trips like that if they're within driving distance. If I'm going to fly then I'd stay longer. But there's nothing wrong with flying for a short trip, I just never get the chance to.
