Re: do you get offended
Not really but my husband & I trimmed down our list alot by cutting out alot of people that we don't talk to any longer.

I didn't send any Christmas cards, so I certainly hope that the people who sent me one don't get offended.

Same here! I only sent about 12 cards out to immediate family. They were pics of Gizmo dressed up as a reindeer so I don't think people would mind not getting that one. I got so many cards though... I hope no one gets mad at me but I just didn't have the time between my new job and working on the house and writing out the Thank Yous.

O sent out more than usual, made a lot of new friends and reconnected with old ones this year...
I mailed mine on Monday, so most people got them today....and its kinda too late for them to send me an 'afterthought' one....
Theres nothing worse than getting it like Xmas Eve or AFTER Xmas...that to me, is being an afterthought to that person

Re: do you get offended
It would usually arrive at some point...we received a card yesterday that had the wrong address.
It's not a hard and fast rule -- if it's someone we talk to or see frequently and they didn't do cards one year, they don't get scratched off the list.
But if we are basically down to exchanging just holiday cards with someone and that doesn't happen or if there is someone that just never sends them, I am not going to continue sending cards it works both ways.

No not at all because i know not all people send them. However i do get offended where I hear someone is having a bbq or party and don't get invited if we invited them to one we had......i don't think that is right.

Re: do you get offended
I cut my list this year due to his family having issues, and I know I forgot people as well. There were some that even came back with wrong address which I do not see how. but, I do get kinda offended if I send you a card and do not get one back, but I do not cross you off my list fo rnext year.
This year we sent a card with both catholic and jewish symbols and I know that some people went out and got us a special card. I got one that said Merry Christmas and Happy Chaunkah with cats in repective head gear. It was cute and actually the first card I received. I got others that you can tell people actually put thought into it and I respect those people cause they took the time to think of us, and they could have sent us generic ones.

Re: do you get offended
not at all. Our original plan was to send a xmas card to everyone who came to the wedding - granted, we only had about 120 including guests and people who couldn't ome but sent gifts - but who has the time for that?!! We just kept our usual list and sent cutie pics of Golem to everyone as our card this year. I don't get offended if we sent one and that person didn't send one back. It's not a popularity contest anyway. I see Christmas cards as a way of sharing holiday greetings and letting our friends and family know we're thinking of them
