I think it depends...if you don't mind your coworkers knowing some of your personal business, then I don't see a problem, but if you do, I wouldn't join it. Sometimes friends and families leave comments that may not be appropriate for coworkers to read.
No. You never know what other people will write and your co-workers will end up seeing that you don't want them to. I'm all for separation.
No. I dont like my coworkers knowing too much about my personal life. On FB I tend to post pictures of going out with friends , drinking etc.
There isn't such a thread for us teachers lol If there were, I wouldn't join...my personal life stays out of the school lol
i have a myspace account & have had my employees request me as a friend on there- I am only a year or two older than most of them- but they report to me & I like my privacy- so no for me!
I use Linked In for work stuff. Myspace I have very few coworkers on there, but what I have on my myspace isn't that personal anyway. Facebook I have more coworkers and again I don't have a lot of personal stuff.
I only have 2 co-workers of mine as friends on myspace. But one of the is a BM (and my boss lol) and the other is someone who i've been friends with for over 2 yrs. And she sits next to me in the office and we pretty know everything about eachother, shes met FH numerous times and she knows my mom. So its not like i'm hiding anything
