Do you go for a yearly physical?

I am 27, should I be?

Most doctors don't think it's necessary to do a physical every year.
At 28, I go about every 5 years, but it could be more often if you have a family history of something that needs to be monitored.

ok, I am going to a new dr, so I am going to have them do a full physical and start fresh!

whenever i get sick and go to the doctor he looks at my chart and starts telling me that i should have another physical...

I go every year.. it's a GREAT habit .. when you get older i've notice people don't want to go as much and next thing you know.. no one knows anything about your health.

I feel better knowing that my doctor has a full work up on me. Blood, breathing, heart monitoring, the whole nine yards.

Then again for me it's free.

Im a health freak. I try to stay as healthy as I can (no I dont work out as much as I should) and I see all my doctors on the same time at the beginning of the year.

Two of them, I can schedule around work hours.. the regular doctor is in long island tho.. so i just 'have' to take a day off.


Regular doctor visits can catch things that you may take for day to day pains. I also have to admit I have a history of health issues mostly being A-symptomatic. More importantly I know nothing about my mother's health (wish she'd just die already). Without my mother's history I am clueless to what can or can't happen to me.

I've got my own list of moans and groans its nice to have a visit to say 'nope your fine, go play'. It's a nice way to start the year.

I think its a good idea to go--- It can't hurt!
