Do you have a catchphrase?

Mine is 'Let's Get Serious'

I said it whenever I think something is stupid or ridiculous, or I'm just saying something to be on the level.

Another phrase I love I got from one of my best friends 'Late o'clock'

Like 'Ugh..I have to work so i'm not going to be able to meet you until like, late o'clock'

when i'm cranky i call myself 'crankified'

i've also started saying studid-azz a lot

I'm always saying-'Dont Steal my Thunder'
I call everyone a 'dope' ( no idea why)
I say 'Dude' a lot! ( it annoys even me!)
And I say ' SHUT UP' when someone says something cool/weird/crazy..almost anything ( that too annoys me!)

oh man( my nephew use to say that all the timewhen he was 4 years old and now i been saying it for the longest time and now my niece kaitlyn his sister who is 3 says it.

my 'motto' is :
'if it doesnt matter in 5 years, it doesnt matter!'


if i dont like what someone says to me/is talking about i say:
'what a stupid thing to say to me!'


or if theres something ugly, like a really ugly person or anything at all i say:
'THAT sux!'

mine is 'that cant be good' when something bad or wrong is happening....

also I use the word fabulous- a lot with my students.... hey try to incorpoate descriptive language into the class....:)

I don't know if it is my catch phrase, but I catch myself always saying 'FYI' and Tom hates it!

I pick up a lot of stuff from DH - like - 'it is what it is' - saying that like crazy now!!

Also - 'at the end of the day' - pretty much to mean - when all is said and done.

I have no idea where that came from though.
I definitely go through phases with words and phrases!

i say 'omg' allllllll the time
'no way'- i got a 2 year old mimicking me on that one now! lol its so cute tho!

My boss prefaces everything with 'Again'

As in 'Again, when you scan the barcodes remember to blah blah...Again the manager is responsible for...'

for time, i too use butt crack of dawn.
for distance, i use 'guam'. i parked in guam, i live out in guam, or when i talk to my students, i'll joke, 'peter, i'm aksing you to go to the carpet, not guam!'

i say 'true' a lot but i elongate it.
gotta go pay my water bill (gotta pee)
instead of fcuk , i will say fudge (xmas story) or farfegnugan (an ollllld vw commercial)


I use 'Guam' for distance too! I had to park in Guam the other day when I went to Walmart.

I call people that annoy me 'butt monkey'...no clue why. When I'm going to do something quickly, I say that I'm going to do it 'superquick' (yes, one word). There's more, but I can't think of them. I seem to have a new phrase on a monthly basis.

My Mom uses 'now'. 'Now, when are you going to this?' 'Now, what was that guy's name again?'

I used to say guam a lot - but now it's usually 'I'm parked in New South Bumblef*ck'

I find myself saying 'For what it's worth' waaayyy to often lately.

I also like 'That's the shizzle'. I am so lame.

When I have forgotten something or I space out, I have taken to saying 'I'm playing the blonde card.'

I used to refer to my students as 'my little chickadees'. They never wanted to admit that they liked that.
