Do you have a fav singer/band people make fun of you about?
I love meatloaf lol all my friends make fun of me except for my MOH she loves him too! we go to every show in our area every year.

i still LOVE ThirdEyeBlind, but when i declare my love for them people laugh. They say they are one hit wonders---even though they had a few hits---and call them has-beens but i still love them and i can't wait for their 4th cd which is in the making. i've seen them live 3 times and i hope hope hope they come to charlotte soon so i can see them again!

I love barry i took my mom to see him 2 years ago for her birthday at the nassau coliseum He was awesome!

Barry is a FANTASTIC musician! I LOVE HIM! When he was on Idol last year I think he did such a great job working with the singers. He just knows what he is doing!

OMG!!! I was going to say Barry too!!! I went to the show 2 yrs ago too with my parents at Nassau - DH couldnt believe he was still marrying me after he saw me crying and singing along to ' oh Mandy...'

Barry is not only a singer but a composer as well. I think if people knew half of what he can claim as his own in his music catalog, they would stop making fun of him.
I noticed that out of all of the concerts I have been to in my lifetime, the Manilow concert I went to had the most diverse audience I ever saw as far as age, sex, sexual orientation, ethnicity and religion was concerned. Prince was next in line after Barry.
I was mocked for my love of Duran Duran as a child. Then when Iw as old enough to pay attention to the lyrics of their music, I came to my own conclusion that they stink. Most of their lyrics do not make any bit of sense.

I looove Barry - but you have to admit he comes across as a bit corny - but he rocks - I have loved him since I was a little girl!!!!
I am so jealous of anyone who ever saw Prince live. I ♥ him!!!!

i had an 80 year old woman in front of me who got up ( it took her a min) and danced during copa cabana it was the cutest thing ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm also a Barry fan. My Mom used to play his music on weekends while she was cleaning and it rubbed off.
And I'm with you on Duran Duran Goldi. My favorite was John Taylor, my friend was in love with Simon. I used to sit in my living room with my huge headphones on, listening to the Arena album over and over and over.

Girls, it feels so good to know I'm not alone with the Barry thing. He really is such a talented musician. If you don't like him, I think people should at least respect him for his talent.
