Do you have a regular hair stylist

Do you have a regular hair stylist

I have seen alot of girls here choose to have their hair done by either a vendor on the board or another person that they have indicated is not their normal hair stylist.

Why is that? Do you not have a regular stylist to go to? Or the stylist does not do updos? (some dont or have a hard time doing them)

Just curious.

a woman my mohter works with used to do my hair.....and i loved loved loved her!
but then she got in a car accident and her back was bothering her so she went to an accupunturist and he punctured her lung, so she no longer does hair because it's too much stress on her body....poor thing.
she was great. and i havent' found anyone else i trust like her since it happened 2 years ago......

Although I have a regular hairstylist she couldn't do my hair for my wedding so I used the guy she referred me to & he was great!

Re: Do you have a regular hair stylist

My stylist is a guy. Love his work. When he's done with me I feel so 'Glam' heh.

When I approached him about our wedding he was all for it. Then I said I wanted an updo. He does them but feels my hair looks better down. More natural. I have a LOT of hair and it's very very full. *I* don't want it down. I want it up. So Im not using him.

But still I love what he does with my hair.

I didn't find him. Jim's ex girlfriend found him years ago and took Jim to see him. After their break up Jim kept going cause he's good. Later when we started dating Jim took me. Now he's our stylist heh.

I always go to the same stylist b/c she always cuts it the same, if you go to a new person and I have done that, it never looks the same

I have a regular stylist and that's who I used for my wedding. I couldn't have imagined going anywhere else.

Re: Do you have a regular hair stylist

I do not have one. I was going to the same place because I am a glutton for punishment.

Here is my saga. I have been going to the same place since they have opened. I never have the same girl because when I did make an appointment with the same one, she would still be working onsomeone else so I would get someone else.

Fast Forward to this past January, I made my appointment weeks before for an updo for my friends wedding. The day finally comes, and I literally am just about to leave and the phone rings. The girls is sick and can't do my hair. They did nothing to compensate me. Because they were 'too booked'.

I still went back and got a different lady. She does THE best job. I schedule another appointment and she has left. (it is my luck)

So I go in and get another girl, and she starts telling me I need high lights and she'll do it that day. I tell her I do it during the summer and I don't need it now. She then tells me after she is almost done with my hair that my hair is so ashey and I need to get it dyed. But 10 minutes earlier it was good enough to get lightened???? Then there was the girl sitting in a chair behind me who was getting a touch up on her roots. Any more ammonia in her hair and it was going to go on fire. But I had the ashey hair????

The hair cut cost me with tip $43.00 and it looks like I went to super cuts. Or at least if I went to super cuts I could say for $10 bucks what do I expect?

So now I need to find a new place.

Sorry so long everyone!

Re: Do you have a regular hair stylist

I have a regular hair stylist that I go to every week to get my hair blown out and he is going to blow out my hair the day before my wedding, but I am having Denise Venti do my updo for my wedding. She did an amazing job when I went for a hair trial.

I have a regular hairdresser. She is my mom's friend and she works in a salon, but works one day out of the house just for friends and such. I love the way she does my hair. It is always so soft and smooth. She will be doing my hair for my wedding. I want my hair down with some of the top pulled back and I like how she blows out my hair so this should be good.

The girl who cuts my hair doesn't do updo's. Other people at the salon do, but I want someone who will come to me on my wedding day so I have a trial with Denise Venti on Jan 19th!

And I still have no idea how I want to wear my hair!!!

My stylist doesn't do updos, but his wife did, so I went to her.
