where you are going to sit them at the wedding..or who they want to sit with? I seriously cannot believe people. I haven't even begun to do the seating..and they are already starting.

Re: DO YOU HAVE FAMILY/FRIENDS ASKING YOU...
The only person that I am having trouble with is my mom!! I told her that she can pick who she'd like to sit with at the wedding, and THAT'S IT!! FH and I are going to do the rest. Unfortunately, my mom didn't want to listen, and she made her own seating arrangments and gave it to me. To avoid a HUGE argument, I smiled and took the list. I told her she can pick her own table. I'll do the rest.

i think this is an old, classic question that has always been asked. people just like to know, be in the know and picture it all in their heads.

Re: DO YOU HAVE FAMILY/FRIENDS ASKING YOU...
My family are obnoxious about seating. They have this thing about who's closet to the bride and grooms table is most important and the tables furthest away are nobodies. The fun has just began!!!!!!!!!!

My MIL called me 3 days before the wedding and said 'when you get a chance, let's sit down and talk about seating arrangements'. Have you lost your mind????????
My wedding, my seating arrangements.....the nerve of people!!! Just ignore them!!!

Re: DO YOU HAVE FAMILY/FRIENDS ASKING YOU...
I only had one request that I 'accomodated' (My cousin begged me not to seat her with her parents, and I wasn't planning on it anyway).
My SIL (who is 15) kept insisting that I seat her with my DH's college roommates instead of her parents. Yeah, I'm sure a bunch of 26 year old guys and their GFs/wives want to sit with a 15 year old. Obviously I didn't do it. She basically pouted at the wedding when she found out she was sitting with her family and then went and pulled a chair up with DH's friends (um...hello...they thought it was cute when you visited the dorm when we were in college, but they're not actually YOUR friends!!!!) I never realized how annoying teenagers can be until I met my SIL...

Yes, my cousin emailed me 3 days before the wedding and said I quote 'I would appreciate it if you could tell me who I'm sitting with at the wedding, so if I don't approve, I can let you know and you can change it' Seriously... W T F ??????
I wrote her back and said she will find out at the wedding.

I had that and it seriously ticked me off. Luckily it was only a small few and I still stuck them where I had intended.

Re: DO YOU HAVE FAMILY/FRIENDS ASKING YOU...
we only had one person ask MIL-her friend-and we ignored them and sat them whereever we wanted, but i have to say seating was so easy-My mother did family and her friends-we did our friends-and MIL did her family and friends-there were NO issues at all

Im telling you we live parallel lives.
We knew who could/should be seated with each other and who could not/should not be seated together. However, if an adult cannot put their own BS aside to make life easy and joyful for someone else for 6 hours, then that is pretty sad. I see some brides torn up when when people do this.

Yes them to death and do whatever you want. If they really hate who their sitting with so much I'm sure they can switch with someone.
