Do you have more single friends or friends in a relationship?

I'm the only one of my friend's engaged. In fact, really the only one in a serious relationship (one my best friend's from college has a serious boyfriend of about 5 years so we're just waiting for that engagement!)

My single friends are ALWAYS going out to bars/clubs, and of course they want to meet guys.

I have some problems with this though- they usually go out on the weekends, (the only time I really get to see FH) and FH is not the bar/club type. Lately, I haven't really been either, especially since I want to save money.

I'm still pretty young (23) and most of my friends are the same age. Except right now, I feel like I don't want to go out to bars/clubs. I'm also trying to save money/work 2 jobs/go to school so its hard in general to see my friends.

I was just wondering if anyone else felt a little more distanced from their friends?

I just feel kinda left out when I see the picures posted on myspace/facebook of their crazy nights out when I spent the night in with FH watching T.V.

Most of my friends are in relationships...but we are the only ones engaged...I actually like it better sometimes when we just stay home and watch T.V...neither one of us are really that into going out every weekend...but I try to find a balance somtimes its ok to go out with just the girls!

My best friend is married and has a 2 year old, we kind of hang out when we can. The rest of my friends the only serious relationship is my sister (we hang out with the same people), the rest of the group are all single guys, so i kind hang out with them when i can, FH doesn't like going out with them all the time-he's ok with once in a while. And i usually feel bad going out with my friends on the weekends because that is the only time i see FH.

So it always seems like i have to make a choice

one of our friends is also engaged, so we go to a lot of things with them. but most of our friends are single. a handful are in relationships but most of the time we (FH and I as well as the group of us) never really like the people our friends date.

I know how you feel! i am not really going out to bars/clubs to save as well and usually find myself having low key weekends with FH.... but not that i don't mind! I try to make time for my single friends by maybe going out with them for some coffee on a sat or sunday afternoon, this way i dont make them feel that they are being 'abandoned' somewhat...

I do have friends that are in relationships and sometimes we double date w/ them... but i am the first to be engaged (i am 23 as well!)

I know how you feel. I am in college as we speak and Thursday nights and onward are just crazy. I have never been the one to go to frat parties, drink downtown and hookah, its just not me. They call me the mommy of the group (in a good way), I have a great ear and I don't judge and a comfy room,lol. I am more the dinner and a movie person and luckily I have some friends who share my same interests. Plus FH and I have been dating way before I was in college so he gets dibbs,lol!

i have one friend who is married, rest are single and they have been giving me a hard time for months now cuz FH and i stay low key on the weekends. we arent into the bar scene anymore plus my friends dont get along with FH which makes it really hard for me.
we recently agreed all the friend need to make more of an effort. 2 of these girls were once my best friends and now i dont even know if i can consider them for my bridal party. its such a crappy situation

I've found that after having a child and then being in a very serious relationship that my life had taken a different path than that of any single friends I've had (and most were single at the time). Now that I'm a older, many of my friends are married, engaged, are in serious relationships or have kids and things have finally evened out.

So, lol, to answer the question, I have more friends in relationships than not.

i am the only one who is engaged as well ... but i still go out with them....occasionally ... i realluy dont like to b/c like u said the weekends is my only time with Fh and hes aanti social lol ... he doesnt like to hang out like that hes more of a fancy resturant kinda guy
