Vets day is a federal holiday so banks and schools will be closed (I think )

No- my FH is a vet- was in the Marines for 8 years. Every year I hear how he should have off. I agree with him.

this is my father's big thing...he loves any excuse to put his flag out...


it seems that a lot of people had today off instead...was that to make it a 3 day weekend? makes sense I guess..

Hell yeah! Since our pay sucks, we get great perks!

ETA: I worked all day yesterday, so it all evens out in the end. I'm stuck doing all the chores and errands that I couldn't do yesterday, but at least I can get up whenever I feel like it!

I'm off tomorrow and plan on getting stuff together to send to the videographer.

Yes I do. Stacey's right, it's a federal holiday so Bank's are closed. That means a day off for me. But to be honest, I wish they offered it as a floating holiday. As nice as it is to have a day off tomorrow I would rather get the day after Thanksgiving or Christmas off.
