Do you have to have a head piece picked out before you go for a hair trial?

Do you have to have a head piece picked out before you go for a hair trial?

I am debating betwen a tiara and maybe something that would just go around the back of my hair in a circle surrounding my curls. I am not sure how to proceed. Do a lot of people buy their head pieces at places other than where they got theri dress, I'm a little nervous to do that since I'd want to try everything on to see how it looked?

Thanks.

I would suggest you decide on a hair style BEFORE buying a headpiece.

I bought a headband thingy when I thought I wanted a half up/half down do. But when I realized I didnt like how it looked, I had to sell that headpiece and buy another. Lots of girls have the same problems.

I agree with Stef.... Decide roughly if you want your hair up or down, half up or something.... then buy the headpiece... than go back for another trial so the hairdresser could play!

Decide before. I didn't have my headpiece for the trial (it's being made) but I brought a pic of it to the trial

I think I would like the back of my hair up, w/my curls and then in the front some straight wispy pieces, what kind of hair piece do you think would look good with that. I hope where I am getting my dress has a lot of styles, I am not sure if I am the tiara type.

I think you should get your headpiece first but have an idea of how you want your hair. (why pay for two hair trials) This picture is very close to the headpiece I have on order, the design will go all the way around my head. I plan on having my hair pulled back with barrel curls. If I totally hate the headpiece with the hair style I like, I can exchange the headpeice for something else.
Good Luck
