Do you have to tip if you have your ring cleaned?

So if you are in the mall and just stop in a store and ask them to clean your ering..should you throw them a few dollars? I never did but wondered if I should?

nope. the place FH bought my ring does it for free...he spent money on the thing.. it should be fine for you to go in and have it cleaned. it is their job

i never do. i think the woman would be insulted if i did! i have brought her chocolates before!


eta---if you didn't buy it there, they might charge you for cleaning. if they don't, i wouldn't sweat it.

I always ask and they give me a bit of an attitude so i feel bad ( not the place where we got the ring)

i was actually wedding band shopping and the woman said oh i'll clean your ring for you and i didnt refuse (i made believe i really was buying their god awful rings im mean!) i didnt tip though cause i didnt know if i should and how much was insulting

I never tip for a ring cleaning. Where we bought our w-bands he does it complimentary. And if I bring them somewhere else it's bc I'm usually buying something else or having something repaired, so they're getting my $$ anyway. It's good business for them to clean my rings for free, they know I'll come back for more!!
