Do you hear what they are talking about on Z100 right now?
They are saying that girls are banning the traditional 'wedding ring' and now want a wedding necklace or wedding earrings? Not this girl!!!!!
And they go further to say they dont want the ring anymore because people know its a symbol of marriage and they want a necklace or earrings so that people dont know that they are married! If that's true...what's the hell's the matter with people?!?!?!?

I've never heard that before. It seems stupid to me - why get married if you don't want people to know?
Besides, there is a reason that it's a ring and not a necklace, etc. The wedding band=circle=eternity. Duh.
I really don't listen to z100 anymore. I don't love the music they play anyway, and their djs often get on my nerves.

z100 is banned in my car....it's soooo awful....they'll say anything to rile people up to call in! remember when they trashed some girl for getting married the weekend of thanksgiving? they are positively too often for my taste.

I would rather the wedding ring. We are a very non traditional couple... we like things our way not everyone elses... but I have to go on tradition with this one.

WHAT???!!! Can u picture me telling Angelo that I dont want to wear a ring cuz I dont want people knowing Im married? I like being traditional... I love my rings.both my e-ring and my band... girls are getting stupid!

when i meet new people, the first thing i do is check their shoes and their left hand. it's an old habit...but it answers a lot of questions about a person right away.

I just heard that, but they couldn't really give a reason why. They just kept saying its the way the modern girls want it done. Not me, I consider myself a modern girl and I want that RING. I've dreamed of this day. I''m getting the ring. The other stuff can be for birthdays and anniversaries.

WHAT?!?!!?!?!!?!!?!?!!?!? This is NEWS to me - i have never heard abt this - and honestly think its retarded .... a ring is meant to symbolize eternity and if a girl doesnt want ppl to know that shes married - then maybe she should reconsider getting married!

I was listening to that on the way to work this morning. I'm sure that most people still want the traditional wedding ring but I can see why other wouldn't. Some people these days don't vaue marriage that hghly and do it to say they are married, I guess it is those people who don't want the wedding band.

Me too! I don't listen to the morning show anymore since this huge trashy programming about brides and holiday weddings.
They don't know anything and try controversies just to annoy people. I think they just make stuff up.

the question is: why do you not want people knowing you are married? if you want that, you shouldn't be getting married in the first place.
and i've never heard of this either-- i don't listen to them at all anymore. the comments they make are so out there. i've actually really gotten into listening to opie and anthony in the morning-- they keep it simple, no BS, very down to earth and real... tell it like it is. i like that better!
