I was just playing around. I am making the pew bows for the church. Do you like this or do you think it is too much or too little. Thanks!!

Thanks again girls!! Hey Btrflygrl, if you would like them you can have them when I am done. The only thing, you have to come and pick them up at the church after I am married. I am not going to be asking anyone to take them after the ceremony, so If you want, I will let them know at the church that you will be picking them up!!! Let me know!!

ME TOO! I want to know how you made them! They are so pretty! I would add some thin strands of pearls along with the curling ribbon in the middle.....
I have no idea how tomake bows, though.....I cheat and use a glue gun for everything....love my glue gun!

OK, here's the secret, I bought the bow maker at Michael's. You have to wrap the ribbon around the bow maker a bunch of times, then tie it off and then fluff it out. Sounds easy, but it is a little tougher. Then I just tied the thin ribbon in the middle of the bow to cover the white wire I used to tie it off and then I used the thin white ribbon to tie on the ivy. I have to go bak to Michale's today to get white elastic to put around the back to attach on to the pews!! Hope this helps, Its hard to expolain. They do give you directions in the bow maker kit on how to make different kinds of bows, but for some reason, mine didn't come out like theirs.

I think they are beautiful -- I'd leave out the curling ribbon in the middle too though... I love the ivy, is it real or silk/fabric/etc (forgive my ignorance!)

I also think they are beautiful. I like thin ribbons coming down the center but I would probably look for something other than curling ribbon for it.
Who is going to put them on the pews before the wedding? That's the one advantage to paying the florist to make them.

Thanks everyone!! That is not curling ribbon in the middle, in the pic it might look like it but it is actually a thin satin ribbon. I went to the church yesterday and tried them on the pews and they looked perfect. They stop just a bit before the floor and the people at the curch actually asked if they could keep them afterward. I am going to make a bunch more and put them on the first three pews on each side and then every other pew after that. Thank you all!!!
