Do you like this BM dress?

Do you like this BM dress?

OK I totally love it but my MOH says it is ugly and she hates it (I think it is cause she wants to wear another dress I previously showed her). I would probably let the girls decide if they want strapless or to get spagetti straps - it is all the same to me. Well I already am not doing tea-length because she doesn't like her legs (which I respect totally) and I switched from coral/orangy to turquoise/blue (cause she doesn't want to wear orange or pink).

Is the dress ugly (and I just dont see it) or is she just being difficult? What do you think? (I havent decided on whether I like the aqua or turquoise yet - what do u think?)

Is that Lazaro? I LOVED that dress so much that I had to try it on when we went looking for BM dresses. While they thought it was pretty, most of the girls didn't want to wear it. I don't blame them - it's not flattering on everyone.

Did she at least give it a chance and try it on?

I think it is a lovely dress, but speaking as someone who used to be BIG and I mean BIG, that dress may not be complimentary to someone who has any reservations about their size. The horizontal nature of the ruffles may make a person seem wider than they are. JMO. I do like it though, but consider who will be wearing it.

It's a pretty dress, but honestly it's just not my taste. I wouldn't want to wear it either, I don't like the ruffles. Sorry, but it's JMO!!!

I would wear it if I were a BM and the bride really loved it, but personally it wouldn't be my 1st choice!

I tried on wedding gowns with a similar type of bottom. And the horizontal nature of the bottom definitely does make you appear wider than you are. Have your girls try it on, and see if it's flattering. IMO that's a difficult dress to wear unless you're very thin.

It's a pretty dress, but I think you have to be thin to be able to pull it off.

im not into the ruffles- i think the colors are pretty and i think if you really wanted ruffles that a tea-length dress would look better with it.
the ruffles are too eye catching and may not be flattering on a less than perfect figure

I didn't even consider the horizontal ruffle factor. Two of my girls tried it on and IMO they looked awesome - they liked the gown but weren't thrilled about ruffles (I love ruffles - what is wrong with me?) They are my two skinniest girls though.

I definitely want my girls to be comfortable, and would never 'make' them wear a dress they looked bad in or were very uncomfy in. I guess it just annoyed me that they are all so quick to dismiss the dresses I choose because they don't like the color or ruffles!

SIGH. I wonder if I can find a BM dress with vertical ruffles - haha. Maybe one of my other BM will love the gown so much they will choose it for when I'm in their weddings (a girl can dream!)

Ugh - too bad my MOH refuses to wear tea-length gowns. I just can't win

i love this dress and ive seen it on a bridal party that had all different size girls from 2-24 and everyone looked really nice in it. dont worry. pick what you love!!!

and remember about the bm gowns your girls when they get married and you are in there bridal party they are going to make you wear what ever They want you to wear so do what you want. Your never going to make everyone in your bridal party happy with your decision soooo do as you please and have a good time doing it!!!

I love that dress but I know my bms wouldn't...they wouldn't be into the ruffles either! I think it would look great in pictures but as so many of the girls have said I think it might be a difficult style ot pull off.
