My FI's mother feels that this cake is more for a Thanksgiving wedding and looks like a cornucopia. I love it and I feel it's perfect for our FALL themed wedding. What's your opinions on it honestly? Thanks in advance!

I like it if the fall theme is being used in other places at the wedding. Otherwise, I wouldn't use it (not because I don't like it, but because I think it works best with a theme).

We are having Audrey's Bakery in West Sayville make it. They are owned by Flowerfield where we are getting married.

I love the cake but agree with Jannshari about the grapes. I would do more leaves and less grapes IMO. Perfect for a fall theme though!

Re: Do you like this Fall themed cake?

Everyone is right about the grapes. The more I look at it the more I wish there were more leaves and less grapes. But I still love it!! I also found another fall cake and it's beautiful. Such hard choices Which one would you choose?

I too was in search for a fall-esque theme for our cake.. This was ours... Personally I like the second one better... Fall leaves looks sooo great on cakes. You can't tell how vibrant the colors were on ours.. but its a suggestion!

Good Luck!

I think the second one is more elegant, though I'm sure Audreys could adjust the first to have more leaves and no grapes.

I like the one on pg. 2 better (being a fall bride myself)! We're also having a fall-themed wedding cake. It's Chocolate Ganache with gold accents, I think I posted it on the cake thread. FH picked it out of a magazine but I like this one better

I really liked the first one but then when I saw the second one, I was blown away.

Hey we are also getting married on the same day. I have some pictures of fall wedding cakes stored in the computer I will find them and post them for you.

I like the 2nd cake much better! It's beautiful!! The first one had a little too much going on for my taste.

Both are nice , but I like the second one better. Did you meet with Audrey's already? I'm getting married at Flowerfield in June and haven't met with anyone yet about the cake. Just curious!
