Do you like this quilt?

I'm into orange right now - I think a nice pumpkin spice color would look fabulous......or a deep red.

Not sure about the furniture - I'm into chocolate wood at the moment......I think with black and cream you could do most anything.

how about light grey walls w/ either white or ivory trim? could also add a chair rail. would most likely have to go w/ white for trim because it might be hard pressed to find ivory furniture, not to mention i woud have to paint the doors ivory as well.

I like grey walls....it sounds like a very neutral pallette...if that's youre style, go for it!

I would go with a french vanilla color on the walls. It looks great with white trim (moulding or chair rail). It would go with everything, even if you change the bedding in the future. I like the pine furniture in the photo, or a darker color would go well too...

What about the distressed white/ivory furniture? 'The Place' on Rte. 110 has beautiful sets, but they're not cheap.

There's a French Country Antique place in Huntington - south of 25A, on NY Avenue - on the west side, going north. They have that shabby-chic look going on in their front window......I just can't remember the name of the place.

Can you do light gray with white beadboard on the bottom half?

As for furniture, I'd go with white, pine or distressed black.

On the cover of Better Homes and Gardens -- Bedroom Edition I saw a room pained yellow with black and white toille bedding. It was GEORGEOUS!!!!! Try it -- it sounds bright, but it looked great.
