i'm getting married at the RH ... do i really need a rehearsal? they said they generally do it 1/2 hour pre-ceremony but is that even necessary?
i mean, the BA is going to be there telling people to walk out and in what order, no?

Re: do you NEED a rehearsal?
It's pretty much idiot-proof. You might need it for people who are doing readings. DH's aunt missed the rehearsal and when she went up for her reading she went the wrong way and nearly knocked over a candle.

Re: do you NEED a rehearsal?
I just posted about this but I'm doing one. We liked getting just the bridal party together as a big thank you but FH's parents are paying for it. If we had to pay for it we probaby wouldn't have one. We want to give out the gifts and just make sure the order is right and everyone is paired off together. We also though it would be a nice way for the bridal party (guys to girls) to meet each other.

My RH does it same day too but I'm worried about the logistics. Was everyone already dressed up when you ran through it 30 mins before???
I don't want to walk down the aisle in my dress before the actual ceremony

Re: do you NEED a rehearsal?
DH and the bridal party had a rehearsal right before the actual ceremony - not me. I was in the bridal suite drinking and pulling guests in there with me and chatting away bc I was clearly a bad bride lol. They just told me what to do as I was about to walk down the aisle.

Re: do you NEED a rehearsal?
I'm going to go over it at the RD, but I'm not making everyone go to the actual RH to practice.

Re: do you NEED a rehearsal?
I don't think so. I'm getting married at my RH also and we'll pretty much see how the day goes. If there's time before, I guess we can do it quickly but if not, not a big deal at all.

I'm not, it's just FH and I. We will have a dinner but not a rehearsal.

We go back and forth with it. I don't think you definitely need one.

Re: do you NEED a rehearsal?
I guess you don't need one but IMO I would never not have one...but that's also because i'm OCD and need everything to go perfectly and seeing FH before the ceremony is not an option for me.
