Do you need a special thermometer when you take your basal temp?

Or can I just use any old thermometer? I have a digital one.

(I'm starting to chart as soon as AF is over )

i don't do the whole bbt thing, but I think there is a special thermom. to use...

yes you need to get a basal thermometer. You can usually pick them up at Wal Greens type of places for less than 10 bucks.

I was using a regular digital thermometer but I bought a basal thermometer because it measures your temperature in tenths...which is more accurate than a regular thermometer and that will be helpful in charting.

I bought mine at CVS (it was a CVS brand one too) for $9.99

You should start charting the day AF starts.

Yeah, I realized that last night.... and of course-- I just realized I'm going away and I didn't pack it so I'm going to have to wait until next cycle.

How long is AF? The software I use say its best to start on t he day of AF but you can start any day up to the day after AF stops

I got AF on Sunday, and today is my last day of spotting.
But it's too late... I'm leaving for the airport straight from work.

Hey if you can pick up ANY type of thermometer I would...that way you can at least have a general idea of your pre o temps

Rember years ago they came out with the thermometer STRIP that was plastic and yuo plastered across your head and it glowed like a mood ring?

Ha ha I wouldnt recommend that. (What the h*ll made me think of that anyway...)
