When? Do you mean the day when you apply for it? If so, No, just you and your fiance........anything witnessed should be handled on their end.

If you mean the day of your wedding, yes, that is one of the things MOH and Best man do.

thanks, I thought we needed it for the marriage license also.

I was JUST going to ask this question....my friend in NJ wrote to tell me she needed a witness when they went to get it 30 days before...I didn't think NY was the same way..glad its not!!

No, but you do need to bring at least two forms of ID each and if one of you was married before you need to present an original copy of the divorce decree (papers).

Just to be on the safe side we brought our passports, our driver's license and birth certificates.
