Everyone coming to the rehearsal dinner is in the wedding or family.
Do I have to go through making invitations for this?
We just finished invitations for the wedding and they were extremely painful to do.
I'm tempted to just email people directions and a time...the way we would if we were meeting for a normal dinner.
What are you doing to invite guests to the rehearsal dinner?

Do whatever you want! I did invitations because my guests weren't all internet savvy. I bought ones from Staples and printed them myself. My friend did an Evite and it worked for her. Another friend just did phone calls.

I didn't do a fancy, formal invitation but I did print something out on nice paper and mail it to everyone. This way they had something to put up on the fridge, etc.
It was painless, not like the wedding invitations. I'm sure an email would be fine tho.

I was thinking about getting some nice stationary (nothing crazy) and printing the info myself.

Its whatever you really want. Invitations makes it look more formal. I did them, because I wanted to, and wanted it more formal. I didn't want to just call people over the phone and be like 'yeah the RD is....[such and such a date]. U can even buy invites at party city or target for about $20 and print them on your comp. You can even get alittle fancy with the envelope and print them too in a pretty script font. . . I did that and like underneath, for ex-my MOH's name, I wrote 'Matron of Honor,' and did that with all the people in the BP's title, and 'psrents of the bride,,,,' etc...
Eta-This was the cute little saying I put on my invites for the RD:
Mike popped the question And Melissa said 'Yes.' All the planning is almost over, From the hall to the dress.
Only one thing remains For this day to be great 'Practice makes perfect' June 30th is the date.
We'll practice out the ceremony And iron out the kinks. Then it's off to the Lucky Duck For dinner and drinks!
