Do you need to have...

Do you need to have slipper baskets, bathroom baskets, at weddings? I wasn't planning on doing it but I am not sure if it would upset people of I didnt

I have never gone to a wedding that did, honestly, i know girls do it...but in all the one's i've gone to, never saw either of those

I'm going to do bathroom baskets because I've used items in them at other weddings.

Slipper basket - not sure yet

here is the deal....its YOUR wedding and you don't NEED to have anything!!

That being said, my mom and I put together really awesome bathroom baskets! BUT we did not do slipper baskets.

I think slipper baskets are silly. I'm paying for people to eat, drink, and be entertained and I'm spending a lot on OOT bags. They can worry about their own feet!

I was planning on a bathroom basket, but not a slipper basket. Buy more comfortable shoes or go barefoot, but I have definitely used and appreciated the bathroom baskets.

I was ever at a wedding wth a slipper basket. I like the bathroom baskets my RH has it in the bathroom double check with ur RH before putting one together if you plan on having one

I'm not planning on doing any baskets. I don't have the room in my budget. I would rather splurge on other items.

DEF NOT! You're guests will not miss the slipper baskets. As for the bathroom baskets, it's highly popular and I would say that most girls look forward to walking into the bathroom and being able to find the little goodies in there. You NEVER have to do something you don't want to do though! My guests LOVED the slipper baskets though but remember for YOUR wedding, YOU DO WHAT YOU WANT!

I thought the same thing but ended up doing them anyway. I bought 88 slippers and my mom thought I was crazy, I actually came home with 7 pairs left! CRAZY! Look at your guest list first. I had a lot of older women and I knew the younger ones of my friends would want them.

mouth wash / mini cups
floss
advil
tampons
tide wipes
gum
hand lotion
mini sewing kit
oil lifting face wipes
makeup remover

I can't remember off the top of my head what else we put in but think along those lines...anything a woman might need in a pinch!

for the guys we did a much smaller basket with gum, mouth wash and deodorant.

i have never gone to a wedding that actually had a slipper basket or any of that other stuff.
IMO, i think its a fad and not many people end up using it.
i h ave better things to spend my money on, and if i was a guest, i would not wear shoes i can't dance in and be comfortable in all night.
as the bride, i can only go so far to make other people comfortable, and this one thing is not my responsibility.
like those baskets people talk about in the bathrooms with emergency toiletries - every wedding venue i have ever gone to had this also, your paying for this! i can't believe some places don't already offer this inthe price!

Double check with your venue to see if they provide necessities in the bathroom for you.

I've never been to a wedding with slippers, but have been to several with flip flops....If you keep an eye out at old navy, you can grab them for $1/pair. You could just buy a few in various sizes...I think its a nice touch.

agreed.

My RH provides the bathroom baskets with different ammenities, otherwise I would have skipped it.
