Yes.. Most places won't touch it with at least the knowledge of how high the heels are. THey want the dress to hover correctly, and your body posture changes with shoes as well...it is really beneficial to have them for your first fitting.

yes! when i went to order my gown, a girl was there for her first fitting. one of the store clerks had the whole thing pinned when the seamstress came out and noticed the girl had on no shoes! she didn't even know the height of her heel as she hadn't started looking. it's a good thing the seamstress noticed or she'd be wearing flats (not that there's anything wrong with flats, but it's nice to wear them b/c you want to, not b/c the dress is too short).
so yes, bring your shoes. if you don't have the shoes you want, bring a replacement pair and just know you're locked into that heel height.
