when we met with our florist he put together different flower combos for bouquets but nothing formal. i think we get one free 'sample' centerpiece but dont get to keep it.

$100 ?? I hope you took it home !! My florist is in the bronx, he is doing as many samples as we want, so we can correct it to our taste. So you have to keep paying until you see what you like? I would def. go to someone else, especially since you didnt eve like it. Good Luck ! ![]()

I got two incredible samples made by two different florists before I signed contracts. I honestly couldn't fork over all that cash without knowing what I would be working with so I just asked for a sample. Obviously I didn't take them home and they were *********FREE*******.
I hope you took yours home for $100 but she should be sued for doing that to you.

I looked at a couple florists and have never heard of paying for your trial!
Did you book this florist? If not I booked Pedastals and I love them many friends and family used them and the flowers were awesome! Plus they were very nice and accomodating.

We used Spitz and Peck for my daughters wedding and loved working with Maddie. The flowers were beautiful IMO and she made us centerpieces and we changed them a little and she took pics of them so this way she was able to make sure it was what we asked for. She also made the BM bouquets for us to see and a sample of my daughters bouquet which was done twice since my daughter didn't like the first one. Have some pics in album. I wouldn't pay for any samples since you are paying so much as it is.

That is ridiculous!!! You shouldnt have to pay for a sample! Did you already sign a contract with this florist? If not that would be why you got charged-no florist will do a sample for someone who isnt going to use their services.
If you did and liked the sample I wouldnt look for another florist, you may wind up losing money-just check your contract if you already signed one

I used Lovin Oven (LOVED THEM) and there was no fee at all for a trial!! They do amazing work!!

If you didn't sign a contract with the florist, but asked to see a sample first, then I can understand the fee.
However, if you signed a contract prior to seeing the sample, then I am surprised there was a fee. Most florists include this as part of the package -- to make sure that you are both on the same page BEFORE the big day.
If there is a signed contract already in place, and you still like the florist (but not the sample you saw), it might be worthwhile to try to work with them and ask for a second sample.
It would probably cost you less to do it that way then to take the loss on whatever deposit you left when you booked with them, and have to start over with a new florist.

did u get to keep it? I never heard of paying for a CP sample. They just take the flowers and reuse them.

I would not pay a florist to do a trial, your are going to be giving them thousands of dollars they have a lot of nerve to try and make you pay for a sample of their work.
