Do you really use your cake server after the wedding???

I was going to get a cake server specifically for the wedding but now Im thinking i just register for a set and have them all match... IDEAS?

I have a set in my silver pattern, my mom gave me her silver. We grew up using hers at holidays and birthdays for 20 ++ years. So it might not be a bad idea to register for the ones matching your silver.

I'm still undecided about ordering the 'wedding' ones that match my toasting glasses and cake topper since I have the silver set...

One was given to me at my shower, and since we've been married I've used it a bunch of times. I don't remember if I have one that matches my good flatware though.

I definately use them. Not every day of course but on holidays or anytime we have a big gathering. We always have a multitude of deserts so its handy to have more than one cake server.

I haven't used it yet but I love it and will use it for our anniversary and for the holidays. I also hope that my children use it someday. It is a nice thing to have.

I'd use it I guess if I got one...I'm not registered for one nor am I purchasing it...

I didn't get one...mainly b/c we never really used one growing up...

I received a set for my engagement, the Lenox silver heart ones. I am definetly going to use them at the wedding

I think you should get the ones that match and use them when you entertain at home. I am all for coordination, but I don't think anyone at the party would ever know your toasting glasses, cake cutter, etc. were coordinated. You are on the dance floor or at your table and they are at tables peering through a room full of heads. That being said, if you got a special wedding one I guess you could use it at holidays as well - it wouldn't go to waste.
