Do you remember when you first got your period?

I was in Canada visiting my aunt. I kept wondering *** was going on, had no idea that it was actually my period until I asked my aunt and she explained. I've had a grudge against Canada since then

i was in 5th grade at home and i thought i crapped my pants. i had NOOOOOOOOO idea that it was my period b/c it wasn't like that super red (TMI? LOL) and i eventually figured out it was my period. ummm i blame my mom for not taking me to those afterschool programs that prepares girls for puberty

I'm glad you said this because I was going to also but thought it would be TMI but I also thought I crapped my pants!!! And when I changed my underwear, it happened again so I was like ***!

I'm glad you said this because I was going to also but thought it would be TMI but I also thought I crapped my pants!!! And when I changed my underwear, it happened again so I was like ***!

it took me YEARS to admit that i thought i crapped myself. my friends were like really?? did you think you were crapping yourself constantly?

HAHAHAHHAHA, same here. After going through 3 pairs of underwear I realized I should ask my aunt *** was going on

Seeing this made me laugh too!

I was in 7th grade. I remember having a weird stomach ache all day. And then when I went to use the bathroom when I got home from school, there it was lol. I also remember that I had an appointment at the dentist that night and was trying to get out of it. I figured getting your period for the first time was reason enough to stay home. My mom was like yeah, not a chance you're staying home lol.

I was at home (thank God)and I was like 12 and a half. I was one of those girls who really wanted my period and a lot of my friends had already gotten theirs. So I knew exactly what it was when it happened (thank you Judy Blume ) and I couldn't wait to tell my mom.

My friend's mom had taken her out to a lunch with just the two of them and had 'women' talk. When my mom got home and I told her, all she said was 'You have to be really careful now (re. pregnancy).'

I was home sick in 5th grade. I remember being all worried asking my mom what it was cuz it didn't look like a period lol. Then my mom showed me how to put a pad on my underwear
Then the family went out to dinner to 'celebrate'

i was in 6th grade in january. had a weird stomach ache went to the bathroom and when i looked down, started to hyperventilate. i had a horrible 6th grade teacher and when i asked if i could go to the nurse, she asked why, and i told her i didnt feel well. that apparently wasnt good enough so i had to get up and walk over to her in front of the class and whisper in her ear why i wanted to go to the nurse. everyone in the class knew. i was humiliated. i had all county vocal rehearsal that night that i had to miss which was terrible because you're not allowed to miss it my dad bought a cake (i'm the first of his three daughters) and we went out to dinner to celebrate.

I don't think asian people do this hence my mom's reaction but many of my white friends got some sort of hurrah

I was 12 at the time and my best friend just got hers the day before. We were talking in the school bathroom and I realized that my underwear had blood stains ( tmi sorrrrrrrry ). I called my mom, she picked me up and we went and bought pads lol and went out to lunch after to have 'the talk'

Thank God ever since I started getting my period dont get accidents ... (KNOCK ON WOOD MANY TIMES)...

TMI but before my period comes I get this URGE to make pipi lol... and that's how I know my period comes lol...
I think my whole life i have only gotten One accident...


Anyways....

It was December 12... (i remember teh date!!!) I was VERY YOUNG!!!.. I was 9.5yrs old So I've been with my period for the Longest time!!!!
I got this 'urge' to use the bathroom and when I went.. i saw blood... i screamed like there was no tomorrow
'MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!'
She came running and i said 'OMG look I got the bloody thing in my paper toilet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

& Oh Boy I started getting a stomach pain n back pain !!!!!!!!!!!!

I had an idea about the period since my parents had told me a little bit abnout it...

Yes. I was in the mood for heavy lifting. Started pushing a van into a driveway. My mom looked at me and said 'do you have your period'. I said no but sure enough I got it that night. My dad went out and bought me some pads.

Don't ask what weight lifting has to do with period..till this day I have no idea.

i was 11 years old and I was home - thank god.
I went to the bathroom ad saw blood and screamed for my mom!
she came running and i was like ***! and she explained to me that i was 'becoming a woman'
she showed me how to put a pad on and we had a talk about what i can expect every month. But we never had the birds & bees talk.

She then proceeded to call everyone in my family to let them know

i was 12 at my aunts it was forth of july 1992 i was prepared awhile before i got it but i got my mom and told her and she ended up telling my entire family including my dad and uncles...boy was i embarassed

Ugghhh summer before 7th grade at my families beach house--- had no idea was was going on, i tell my aunt and she gives me a tampon without any instructions!! I proceed to put the tampon up there without knowing to push and take the applicator off... needless to say I did not go out on the beach that weekend the worst hahaha

I was freaking 15 before I got mine All of my friend had had theirs for YEARS, and there was skinny jock me just wishing it would come. Of course it came the day before we were supposed to go to Splish Splash with family and friends, so I bailed because I couldn't figure out how the hell to use a tampon
