My cousin lives there. She lives in a two story house. Her apartment is ground level and the upstairs is rented out also. Its a gorgeous 2 bedroom apartment for $1800. She lives near all the bars and is one house away from the beach.
I also have another friend that lives in an apartment building. She pays $1400 or $1500, I cant remember. Her apartment is a 1 bedroom and she's one block away from the beach.

I just left my friends in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath apt. It was the second floor of a huge house in the east end. We paid $2300. I miss it a lot.

I used to live in Long Beach/East Atlantic Beach. The rent can be between $1200-$2000 and up depending on what you want.
If you can wait I would say wait to look for a place until Sept/Oct, that is when all of the summer rentals are avail. and the rent goes down quite a bit.

Hope this helps and feel free to ask any other questions you may have!

I live there right now- i pay $1200 for a 1br- half block from the beach- without utilities....
most of them dont include that. I live by myself though.
I live In East Atlantic Beach..most 1br go for $1200-$1500..the bldgs sometimes go for a little more- as high as $1600.

You can go in with roomates with a house and pay less rent. Been there done that- i like living alone but it can get $$$$...
