do you send a gift if...

you cannot attend the shower, but you are going to the wedding? I wasn't sure if you still would give a shower gift if you couldn't attend, and also the wedding gift.

I would go and send something small off of the registery - like a blender - or mixer- just a small gift to let her know you were thinking of her but sorry you could not attend - I don't think you need to spend much

I have three bridal showers this month that I will miss and I spent the same as if I was going. (And I'm not close with any of them - one of them I only met once but my FH is in the wedding)

Yes, I think you should always send a gift anywhere you are invited. Even if you can't make it.

I would, but I have to say I had a lot of people not come to my shower, and only 2 people sent a gift, so apparently unless you are a bride yourself, most people think it is not necessary.
