Do you send invitations to vendors?

Do you send invitations to vendors?

We're finalizing our invite list, and I had read the other post about someone's priest inviting themselves.. So I was wondering if there were vendors you are supposed to send an inviation to?

Or do you just reserve an invitation to give them at some point (for example, the photographer, videographer, to use, etc)?

We're just hiring a preist, none of our vendors are family friends (i wish, to save $$ lol!)..

I'd appreciate the help!

As far as I know the only 'vendor' you invite is your priest but it is pretty much expected that you're paying for your DJ/MC (Band). Photographer, and Videographer. At least that's how I understand it to be.

i plan on sending an invite to my vendors for a few reasons:

1. to 'remind' them of my event without being pushy
2. to set the tone for the event
3. to provide additional instructions/requests (my photographer actually requested an invite, don't know what he plans to do with it)

i don't think one HAS to send an invite though...
