Leonard's price include gratuities, so do I still have to tip anyway?

Generally the tip is for the service staff and bartenders but the Maitre D' and bridal attendent are tipped seperately.

yeap. the 18% is for the waistress and waiters, the bartender, etc. You got to tip the Maitre D' and your bridal assistant.

Our contract also states, includes tax and gratuities, with tips optional. We were confused as well-- if we are already paying gratuties then what are the tips... So I asked my sales contact, he said most people paid tips of $ 2 pp.

my friend use to work at leonards.. she said the waiters and waitresses work on a flat salary.. they dont get a tip unless the couple tips them...

We were just talking about this over the weekend. My FI's parents paid for their daughters wedding a few years ago. When they went the day before the wedding to pay the bill, they told the maitre'd to let them know EVERYTHING they would have to pay so they wouldn't have to worry about it the next day. The day of the wedding, the maitre'd chased them out the door at the end of the wedding and demanded his tip. Of course, he didn't get one, cuz they didn't bring any money with them.
