I've been showering with mine on but I'm finding it's not as shiny anymore and it gets in the way when I'm washing my hair. Also it's not super tight so I feel like the water and soap will make it slip right off my finger and go down the drain lol. I'm afraid to take it off though in fear of losing it or forgetting about it lol. Just curious what you ladies do. I'm terrified of wearing it the ocean or a pool though.

I usually take mine off as soon as I get home. My stone is a pear shape so i am always worried it will pop out. You might think I am crazy but I 'tuck my ring in' I place it in my jewelry box so I know where it is at all times. I find that if I take it off and leave it here or there I almost panic to find it.

I dont have prongs on my ring, its set in a pave round cut. But i always take my ring off when im washing my hands, shower, dishes, or anything that i think will get it dirty or dented, even working out.
Plus its a little loose right now so the last thing I want is for it to fall of my hand...
and I 'tuck my ring in too' i always put in back in the velvet box (i love to look at in, makes me think about the proposal all over again )

I usually take it off when I get home from work. My mom bought me a waterford crystal ring holder, so anytime I take it off I put it on there which is on my dresser. I definitely don't shower with it. Just have a designated spot either a jewelry box or a ring holder that you put your ring when you take it off.

the appraiser yelled at me for putting lotion on w/ it on.
i guess i should take it off in the shower bc of shampoo/ conditioner....
also you have to avoid perfume & hairspray, etc.

I dont wear mines in the shower or when I am cleaning. I take it off and put it in my dresser or in my jewelry box. I sometimes dont wear it when I go to sleep either.
If u want to clean your ring at home to get your shine back use very hot water and soap. 1 of the brides on here told me to put some dishwashing liquid and water in a mug or small bowl, pop it in the microwave for about a min then put your ring and let it soak for a bit. Come out sparkling! Sometimes I use a soft bristled toothbrush to gently scrub the the diamonds on my ring to get the dirt off.

I try to always do this unless Im out. I took my ring off at work to put lotion on and had it on my desk but then I got dostracted and a few mins later I see my ring isnt on my hand and I almost had a panic attack! It was right next to me on my desk though lol Thankfully!!!

I have the Mikasa Love Story Ring Dish that I keep on my night-table. It's the only place I will put my ring down, therefore if I ever freak cause it's not on... I know where I put it! I definitely don't shower with it and I try not to sleep with it either. I take it off before making dinner or doing dishes.
To get it sparkling again... 1/3 Ammonia and 2/3 Water, better then Jewelry cleaner and CHEAP!!!

ITA! I usually take mine off too. I would def get a ring holder so you know where it is.

I take mine off if im at home, the one time i slept with it i ended up scratching my face so i just leave it off. BUT i do wear it when im in public or if anyone comes over. Do whtever makes u comfortable. If ur ring isnt as shiney anymore u can always take ur rinkg back to the jewler to polish it up :)
