I tell most of my gal friends I love them...and even some of DH guy friends too!

totally depends on the friend...
in general, with females i will say it begrudgingly only if they say it first (i am such a guy!). i have one male friend i say it to all the time because he truly is one of my favorite people in the world, and i do love him. we were best buds in college for a while and keep in touch via phone and email every few months. nevertheless he holds a special place in my heart...

i tell my one best (girl) friend that i love her... and the other best (girl) friend i will say it writing, but i don't think in person (at least not seriously)

No I dont... I tell my sister because she is also my best friend but I dont think that counts.

Same Sex? LOL meaning how many girlfriends I have that I 'love' Not a whole lot. My best friend is about the only one to reach that status.
Men on the otherhand. I've gotta handful of guys I 'love'. One is even an ex. Which means I talk to him on the phone and say I love you and mean it, just not like 'that'. heh.

I mostly have guy friends, and one girlfriend who has been my bf for years and I tell them all I love them because I do love them all!

Definitely. I'm an affectionate person and I have known my closest friends anywhere from 10 to 20 to 30 years...it's a very natural thing for all of us to say.

of course I do! I'm not sure about FH's friends.. he moved out of his apartment in Bayside and moved home and whenever we go there to visit, they are all so sentimental with him and miss him so much!
