I am getting the custom made, pocket invitation. Just wanted to take a consensus since I know invitation prices vary.

Re: Do you think $550 is alot for invitations?
How many invites? I was thinking $253 for the 100 invites I wanted was alot.
It inclues the reception card, response cards and envelops, lined inner and outer envelopes too.

My budget is not to go over $300 on invites. I would love it, if I capped at $200. I rather spend it on other things.. but it all depends how much you love them and if invitations are one of your high priorities. Cost on specific items are subjective to how important the bride feels about it.. I am sure the invites you are looking at are beautiful.
im spending $600 on really nice ones (originally prices $1000) so i thought i was getting a deal
$550 is fine to me!

I think $550 is okay. It is definitely not outrageous for pocketfolds.

If you only budgeted $200 for invites, than that is a lot, if you budgeted $1000 you're getting a bargain.
Unless that price is for only 50 pocketfolds, no it's not a lot for that kind of invite.

wow for some of these prices, I'd pay my friend C tomake them for me. She's making her own and they are better than any I've seen in a store.

Re: Do you think $550 is alot for invitations?
I happen to think $550 is definitely ALOT for invitations. I'm spending $200 for 175 invitations. Maybe it's just me, but i happen to think spending a lot of money on something that is going to go in the garbage is crazy. I'd rather spend that money in other places.
I mean think about it... any of the weddings you've been to, did you save the invites? Do you even remember what they looked like?

I think $550 is a good price. I'm paying about $600 for mine but it includes the invites, rsvps, lined envelopes, etc. It depends on what your getting for the $550.

Definitely not!! Do a search on here and you will see that that is probably average for what people are paying for invites....there are people paying more and people paying less. I think you are fine. Plus if you really like something, you can't really put a price on it...

it all depends on your budget... girls have spent into $1400+ on invites... personally, for me, i think it is too much, but that is because we are super poor and paying for mostly everything ourselves!!

Thanks! She amazes me, all her DIY projects make my jaw drop! If I decide to do pocket folds then I'll have her help me, if not (I'm considering another design with a monogramed vellum overlay) then I'll try to do it myself.

Re: Do you think $550 is alot for invitations?
I'm spending $1,500+ on my invites, which I know is a WHOLE LOT... but I just fell in love with them and no other invite I've seen has compared to this one. My fiance thinks I'm insane-- but he knows how much I love them, so he's being good about it.

I think $550 is a reasonable price .. no nobody is going to rem - but it is on your wedding video as a memory...
