Do You Think...

Do You Think...

If I were to go out and buy non-floral CPs (hurricanes), if I asked the florist to go arrange them with candles and petals at the RH, they would tell me to go scratch?

Or, that if I brought it to the RH along with my favors, toasting flutes, placecards, etc. when those need to be brought in, they would set them up for me?

I'm having a s-fit at the quotes I've been getting for CPs, and flowers are the one part of the budget I'm really not wanting to spend the money on. But I don't want to have to have a family member or something have to be inconvenienced by setting them up themselves if nothing is able to be arranged.

Is anyone else planning on doing somehting similar, and if so, what were you told by the florist and/or RH?

What kinda quotes are you getting for cp's if you dont mind me asking?

I havent even started looking at flowers yet but fh parents are paying for them. I dont want the cost to be too crazy though.

I doubt a florist would put something together for you that you didnt pay for through them but def ask the RH.

Well, the quotes aren't high per se, so much as the 'going rate' is just disgusting. For my bouquet, 2 MOHs, 4 BMS, bouts for FH, 3 GM, 2 fathers, 1 grandfather, 5 corsages for moms and gmas, and 13 CPs I've been anywhere from 1950-3000+. The same exact CP has been 100, 150, or like 175-200. It's really just gross for something that's going to DIE.

I am also doing non floral centerpieces that will consists of cylinder vases, floralytes and floating candles. My RH is setting evrything up for me and I have to take everything in the week of the wedding when i make my final payment. They did ask that i include a pic and or instructions of how I want everything set up. If your Rh does it, I wouldn't worry about it. They have been doing these things for years and I am sure they have seen some outrageous centerpieces that were not set up by a florist. So i can only hope that they can set up a simple candle centerpiece

Dunno but maybe you can have a friend do it? Or a DOC if you have one?

i am also doing non floral centerpieces. the rh is going to set them up for me. i am also going to box everything so that one centerpiece is per box. going to include instructions for everything else. i am doing a hurricane with a pillar candle, crystal vase fillers in my wedding colors, a mirror on the bottom of the hurricane, and some winter garland around the bottom. my mom and i are going to set them all up and package them. then we drop them off three days before the wedding. i am a little nervous, as i also have place card holder, flutes, cake cutters, favors (which are m&m's and i am scared will melt). i am going to be super organized and hope for the best. also mom's best friend is going to double check everything for me the day of.
