YES!!! i've grown up around a lot of gay people (my dad runs with a VERY liberal crowd LOL) so i feel whatever makes you happy!! and i myself have had many gay friends... i don't see why they just won't allow it! its not hurting anyone.

I think it is truly sad that our society doesn't allow marriage between 2 people who love one other based on the religious beliefs of not all- but some. A family is made up of people who love one other- it doesn't matter if they are different races, religions, sizes, education levels etc... A family is a place where there is love and support- and not only a man and a women can provide that- as the divorce rate in this country proves.

I think it's totally indefensible that gays are not allowed to legally marry.
I can't believe it hasn't gotten to the Supreme Court, and if it has, that it's still illegal.

the biggest argument against it is that 'the bible says its wrong' BULL CaCa!!! First of all thats false, someone interpreted it to say that... AND that has nothing to do with the legality of it. i wonder what they do say to justify it legally....

I think the problem is religious-based. Where we are to marry to procreate - men/men & women/women can't. Also, it's a *SIN*, or didn't you know??!! :rolleyes:
I actually questioned whether I would marry b/c of this...I didn't want to further take advantage of my hetero status by marrying. But that silent protest isn't going to make a change - I'd rather rally & protest for a change than forego my happiness. I suppose that's selfish...

cp039 I thought the same thing, I thought for a bit that maybe I shouldn't marry when there are a huge group of people who are being discriminiated against, how can I participate in an institution that is so biased?
